My First Giveaway

My husband and I are total Food Network junkies. It's pretty much one of the few stations that we watch these days. We're especially big fans of Challenge, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and Throwdown. We've made it our mission to visit dives that Guy has visited whenever we go on vacation (and obviously you'll have no idea what I'm talking about if you don't watch these shows...). We also totally look forward to The Next Food Network Star. So, yes, what can I say? We are addicted to the Food Network.

What shows or networks do you religiously watch? Do share. And it doesn't have to be a Food Network show if you're not into them. Leave a comment about it and you'll be entered in the giveaway. And for those of you blog lurkers who have never commented--here's your chance to win something by commenting. I love comments! You have until December 27th to enter. The winner chosen at random will get to try out this new cookbook that I've been eyeing, "Food Network Favorites: Recipes from our All-Star Chefs". So don't be shy and leave a comment!

I love Guy's Diner's, Drive-Ins & Dives. My husband and I would love to take a roadtrip and stop at all the little diners on the show.

My favorites are Challenge, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, Iron Chef America, The Next Food Network Star, and Giada. But, to be honest, I could be happy watching anything on there. Thanks for the chance at a giveaway!!

We don't get any television reception, so I don't really watch any shows. But when I get the chance, I love any food network show at all! I've had two children, and my favorite part of the hospital experience was the fact that I could watch food network while I was there!

OK- my mom and I are currently trying to find a route where we could hit multiple of Guy's hot spots from his shows! We totally love it, and apparently plan on gaining 40 lbs!

I love this blog, and yes I am one of those that looks at it all the time and never leaves a comment. Sorry! But I have used tons of your recipes and love them!

Marisa, since we're related I officially withdraw myself from the giveaway, but I just wanted to add to the comments about DDD. I've now officially been to four places on the show, and hoping to hit many more!

I love the Food Network Channel! Unfortunetly we just have the basic channels right now so we don't get Food Network. Lately I've been watching the biggest loser religously

I really like Throwdown with Bobby Flay, Good Eats, Everyday Italian, Jamie Oliver's show (when he had a show). If it's not Food Network, then I'll watch Sam The Cooking Guy or Graham Kerr (with his Minimax show) - although I grew up watching him in the Galloping Gourmet.

I love the Food Network Challenge shows, especially ones featuring cakes. It's amazing the amount of work that is put in to design and make the cakes, AND then having to shift the cake from the work station to the display table. Argh...those are always tense moments.

I love the Food Network, but My husband doesn't really get into food shows. He is a Sports-a-holic. I am always searching for new recipes and would love to try some in that book.

I too enjoy watching cookery shows. Here in the UK- I like watching Nigella Lawson's shows -She makes cooking simple and enjoyable; Jamie Oliver's makes cookery look like fun and Anjum Anand's shows teach you how simple Indian cooking is.

I liked some of your recipes and will be using the holidays to try out the cookies.

Oh I love watching the show, "Unwrapped". I love to see how all my favorite foods are made.

My girlfriend and I are Food Network addicts as well. In fact, all Food shows beyond Food Net. Throwdown and Iron Chef are at the top of the heap (me thinks the little lady has a thing for Bobby Flay). Top Chef, though not a Food Net show, is one of the best on TV. The next Food Network Star we thing is really good though we're getting over somebody breaking down in tears every single episode. And since Guy won, nobody else has been even close to being a star.

I personally can't stand Emeril (he used to be so great!) and Rachel (who never was great in my book), but aside from them, Food Network is a go-to channel for us.

Keep up the great blogging and thanks for having people write comments on this. Great to read the other opinions!

J.

I am a food network addict also. I could waste hours a day just watching it. It doesn't really matter what show is on - I will still watch it.

My husband and I have copied so many of the recipes from the website that this would probably be able to take its place.
We both love watching so many of the different shows on this station.

jean said...

I'm not as much of a "FoodTV junkie" since Bravo came out with Top Chef & Project Runway. I like Bobby Flay, so Throwdown & Iron Chef are two of my favorite shows on Food Network.

Anonymous said...

I am such a FN junkie too, and have a hard time figuring out who is my favorite. If I must choose, it would be a toss up between Alton Brown, Paula Deen, and Guy's Diner's Drive-In's & Dives. Actually, just like the others, it's all good :)

Janelle said...

The regular shows I can't miss are The Office and Desperate Housewives. On Food Network, we love to catch Paula Deen's programs and Sandra Lee. Other than that, my tv watching is pretty random. :)

Annmarie Weeks said...

I love so many of the Food Network shows! Anything with Paula Deen is great, and especially so is Emeril...he was my first "Food Network crush"! And being from near Fall River made him feel so familiar to me! I also love Good Eats and Ask Aida! Really, I don't think I've ever seen a show on Food Network that I DIDN'T like...

Krissie said...

I think Paula Deen is my favorite, although I like most all of the "foodie" shows.
