Oatmeal cookie bars

My sister-in-law, Amy, was nice enough to share this recipe with me. She made them when we were all together for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and I haven't forgotten them. They are really, really good!

Oatmeal Cookie Bars
2 C rolled oats (not instant)
2 C flour
1 1/2 C brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 C butter--melted
1 C chocolate chips
1/2 jar Mrs. Richardson caramel
Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients but chocolate chips and caramel. Press 1/2-2/3 of mixture into a 9x13 pan and bake 10-15 min. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Drizzle caramel sauce over top. Crumble remaining mixture on top. Bake another 15-20--don't overcook! Cool completely before eating.

Keep up this blog, I like it! By the way, at Mom's we made those tacos you posted awhile back. They were very very very good! Easy too!
